Placement Recommendations:
This class is open to all students at Central High School. Student must be in 11th or 12th grade and/or at least 16 years old. It is also recommended that the student have completed a Small Engines course.

Course Description:
Diesel Engine Technology is designed to train students for the many employment opportunities available within the agriculture/industrial industries. This course emphasizes skills necessary in the field of diesel equipment mechanics where students will learn how to tune up and perform major overhaul on diesel engines. It will cover hydraulic systems (hydraulic system operation, equipment repair and service) as well as skills in power machinery and small engine repair and maintenance with a strong emphasis on safety, tools, and equipment usage and preventative maintenance procedures.

Class Advisors

All ROP teachers are required to maintain a list of advisors. These advisors are community members that work in fields related to their class, and help to advise them of current trends in the industry.
