Placement Recommendations:
This class is open to all students at Central High School. Student must be in 11th or 12th grade and/or at least 16 years old. It is also recommended that the student have completed Ag Biology and Biology.

Course Description:
This course is designed to create an interest in biotechnology as a career goal and provide hands-on instruction in a variety of related technologies. Students will explore tissue culture, aquaculture, embryo transfer and hydroponics. Problem solving will be one of the many functions of this class. Teamwork will be used for researching, designing, and building projects for practical applications in the industry or for use in the home.

Class Advisors

All ROP teachers are required to maintain a list of advisors. These advisors are community members that work in fields related to their class, and help to advise them of current trends in the industry.
