Placement Recommendations:
This class is open to all students at Central High School. Student must be in 11th or 12th grade and/or at least 16 years old. It is also recommended that the student have completed a Biology or Anatomy & Physiology course.

Course Description:
This course is designed to connect instruction of biological science, English, and math to concepts in physical therapy, athletic training, and fitness. The class provides laboratory experiences and projects that incorporate academic skills, analytical thinking, and data research and pooling. The students put these skills to practice in a classroom laboratory environment as well as in physical therapy and fitness work sites. Students may work as athletic trainer assistants within the Central High athletic department to gain additional skills and work experience.

Class Advisors

All ROP teachers are required to maintain a list of advisors. These advisors are community members that work in fields related to their class, and help to advise them of current trends in the industry.
