Placement Recommendations:
This class is open to all students at Central High School. Student must be in 11th or 12th grade and/or at least 16 years old. It is also recommended that the student have completed Algebra 1 and Biology.

Course Description:
This course is designed to provide students with an opportunity to study animal anatomy and physiology, animal health, and animal diseases. It will also include various veterinary laboratory skills and procedures, surgical procedures, radiology, and scientific research and writing skills. Students will also have the opportunity to investigate different aspects of the veterinarian and animal health care field and career opportunities through project-based learning and field experience.

All ROP teachers are required to maintain a list of advisors. These advisors are community members that work in fields related to their class, and help to advise them of current trends in the industry.
